High School Graduation Requirements

  • 4 English Credits
  • 4 Math Credits*
  • 3 Science Credits**
  • 3 Social Studies Credits***
  • 0.5 PE Credits
  • 0.5 Health Credits
  • 2 Foreign Language/Computer Coding Credits 
  • 1 Fine Arts Credit 
  • 1 Computer Technology Credit
  • 1 Personal Finance & Economics Credit
  • 80 Hours of Community Service (20 per year)
  • ACT by end of 1st semester of Senior year
  • Accepted to an Accredited College
  • 18 EOC Credits
*Math Credits must include Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra II 
**Science credits must include Physical Science, Biology, and an Advanced Science
***Social Studies credits must include US History and American Government 

State Testing and ACT

Patriot Preparatory students should have taken their ACT by the end of the 1st semester of their senior year. It is recommended that students take the ACT more than once to increase their score. The highest ACT score will be used.
 
You can begin taking the ACT now. Register at www.actstudent.org now so you get a spot at your preferred testing site.

Students with an IEP or 504 Plan

If you have an IEP or 504 plan and qualify for testing accommodations at PPA, please see the guidance counselor to apply for ACT accommodations. Accommodation requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the test sign up deadline. 

Fee Waivers for ACT

If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, you may use at least two fee waivers per test. Please see the guidance counselor for more information. 
 
Students who receive free or reduced lunch may also be eligible for college application fee waivers during your senior year.
