Eagles Athletic Newsletter

If this is the first time you have tried out for a sport at Patriot Preparatory Academy, we are glad to have you join us! Thank you in advance to all athletic families for your flexibility and understanding as we try to coordinate Spring sports tryouts, practices, indoors with limited space and bad weather. I am hopeful we will make some progress towards more consistent practice times for each team.

To participate on a Spring sports team, the student need to pay their participation fee (fee chart on athletic web page) and have a current physical on file with the athletic office. The sports physical is valid for one calendar year from the date of the physical and must be renewed annually. This is mandated by Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), which is the governing body for all middle and high school sports in Ohio. The OHSAA physical form can be found on PPA athletic web page, www.ohsaa.org, in the brown boxes by gym entrance, or in the vestibule by the front office.

The mission of the Athletic Department at Patriot Preparatory Academy is to aid in the academic, emotional, and physical development of our student-athletes through the promotion of teamwork, sportsmanship, and athletic competition. Through the development of these skills, it is believed that our student-athletes will become scholar-athletes who are competitive in all sports.

Athletic Documents

Per state law, all Patriot Preparatory Academy athletes are required to have a CURRENT Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Pre-participation Physical Evaluation form completed and signed by a physician BEFORE they can try out, practice or play for a team. Physicals are good for 12 months. Students will not be permitted to try out for Fall sports without a physical form.
