College Credit Plus

Dual Credit Program

College Credit Plus (CCP) is Ohio’s dual credit program in which students enroll in college courses while in high school and earn BOTH college and high school credit. Students may choose from a variety of college courses, take classes during summer, fall and spring, and are eligible to take courses at PPA, on college campus, or online through the college.


To be eligible for CCP, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Students must be an Ohio resident

  • Students must be eligible based on GPA or assessment exam scores

    • Current GPA requirement = 3.0

  • Students must apply for admission and meet admission requirements for the college/university

  • Students must complete all required paperwork for admission for the college/university

Patriot Preparatory Academy partners with both Columbus State Community College and Ohio Christian University to provide CCP courses to students.


Timeline:

  • April 1 - Intent to Participate and PPA Student/Parent Agreement submitted to guidance counselor

  • May 1 - Must apply and be accepted to BOTH OCU and CSCC

Columbus State Community College

Through the College Credit Plus (CCP) Program, students in grades 7-12 can take college courses through Columbus State Community College to earn free college credit and fulfill their high school graduation requirements at the same time.

Ohio Christian University

Ohio Christian University’s Trailblazer Academy offers middle school and high school students the opportunity to take college courses at Ohio Christian University through Dual Credit/Ohio College Credit Plus (CCP). Our courses are fully accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and will likely transfer to any college or university. Additionally, our program allows students to take college courses on the university campus, online and in select high schools.
