4 Day In-Person Learning
Why the Move?
We all agree that students learn and perform best when they are in the classroom and research confirms that student's are not learning as well from home. Moving from 2-Day to a 4-Day model will provide more instruction and time with staff. While things are not where we want them to be, we are certain that we are in a better place than where we have been. Please be assured that we are doing everything possible to keep every student and every staff member safe in the last nine weeks of the year.

Please take your time to preview the information provided as well as a presentation from Mr. Smith previously shared. Stay informed, engaged, and empowered.

Please note that we are not opening or selecting a change of learning models at this time.

Safety First!!!
  • This move is only possible because we know it can be done safely. Research has shown that schools are safe due to the multiple procedures that are in place.
  • Masks are worn by both students and staff
    Social Distancing (3ft - 6ft minimum)
  • Continued cleaning and disinfection during and after school hours
  • Protective Dividers will be used in K-8th grade classrooms to provide additional protection

Other factors that contributes to a safe return to school:
  • ZERO students have contracted COVID at school the entire school year
  • Parents have done an EXCELLENT job of keeping kids home if they suspect illness
  • Staff have been receiving vaccinations
  • Rapid decline of COVID cases in Franklin County
  • We are at 65% of school capacity (35% are still online)

To prepare for the changes, there will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, March 4th and Friday, March 5th
