PPA and OSU Community Partnership
This school year, PPA and OSU kicked off a two-year community partnership that engages students in a range of visual and performing arts programming. Activities included a student-led mural, arts-based community-building workshops, school performances by undergraduate BFA dance majors, a field trip to Ohio State, and a series of Ghanaian storytelling sessions that utilized movement and music.

One of our projects this year was a student-led mural project. PPA senior Dekontee Zokruah designed the mural and collaborated with OSU visual artist Aurelia Javier to bring the work to life. The mural titled “Diversity in Color” honors how diversity can make our communities stronger. Special shout out to our high school students and PPA staff, who pitched in alongside OSU’s mural team during the painting process. Check out these behind-the-scenes photographs!
