We are very excited to announce that Patriot was selected to be the largest recipient of the OFCC Community School Classroom Facilities Grant in the state of Ohio! There are 334 community schools in Ohio and only 37 are identified as "High Performing". We have been on this list multiple times and were previously selected as a grant recipient in 2018 which helped fund the completion of our 2nd story.
This fall we were notified that we were eligible to apply for this grant opportunity again and were 1 of 8 schools who completed a grant application. Last week, we received official notification that we were selected to receive $3.2M towards the completion of a $6.5M 24,000 sq. ft two story addition. We plan to begin construction this summer with hopes of completing the project by the fall of 2024. The first floor has restrooms, five collaborative learning spaces, including two performing arts rooms, a library media center, an intervention room, and a multi-use “Cafegymatorium.” The second floor has five instructional classrooms, restrooms, janitorial and other storage, and a staff lounge.
