Intramural Basketball for KG-6th Grade

Dear Parents,

Our Intramural Basketball Program is designed as a developmental program for current PPA students in grades K - 6th.  Students in the program will be taught the fundamentals of basketball while developing their skills and learning to work together as a team and practicing good sportsmanship. The mission of the program is to introduce students to a fun, educational and competitive way to play basketball.  Our intramural program is 6 weeks - March 4th through April 13th – and all games will be played on Saturdays at Patriot.  Parents will be responsible for providing snacks and drinks for the team. Coaches will consist of PPA staff, PPA high school students, and parent volunteers.  

The league will be divided as follows:

K, 1st, and 2nd Grade – Practice and games will be held on Saturdays from 8:30am to 10:30am.

3rd and 4th Grade – Practice will be on Mondays and Wednesdays after school 3:30pm to 5:00pm with time for changing and eating a snack from home.  (Saturday games—10:30am)

5th and 6th Grade - Practice will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school 3:30pm to 5:00pm with time for changing and eating a snack from home.  (Saturday games—11:15am and 12:00 noon)
 
  • Cost for intramural basketball participation is $40.00 per student (cost includes: team jersey, water bottle, trophy, and end of the season banquet). Game admission is FREE.
  • Payments and registration forms need to be put in an envelope marked PPA Intramural-Basketball with student name on envelope, ATTN: Athletic Department. Payment may be cash, credit card, or check (write check payable to Patriot Preparatory Academy). Please include the completed registration form below. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, February 27th. 
  • Parent meeting on Tuesday, February 19th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm in the cafeteria.
